DESCRIPTION: EPW – Patek Philippe, Genève, minute repeater with split-seconds chronograph, mvt and case marked for retailer Shreve, Crump & Low of Boston, Massachusetts, 48mm, heavy 18K gold OF case with initials to rear, interior of outer rear lid marked only with eagle symbol, gold cuvette with signature ring bearing retailer marking and Patek marking, unsigned white enamel SS dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, likely greater than 30J, wolf's tooth winding, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#111715 with matching serial number to cuvette. Gross weight of assembled watch 66.0 dwt (102.6 g). Includes extract from the Patek Philippe archives noting attributes and a 1900 sales date.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone, good chronograph function, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine scratches on plates; virtually flawless dial with only a negligible very small micro-fine glaze scratch near center; excellent hands overall, minute with small soldered repair, upper sweep-seconds-hand with small upward bend that occasionally rubs on crystal stalling the chronograph motion; case shows light wear, small nick to band near 3, no dents or dings, engraving detail shows mild reduction, small bit of play to rear hinge, some unevenness to execution of satin finish within cuvette; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
